Nominations Open for Weston Brain Institute International Outstanding Achievement Award

Nominations are now open for the fourth annual Weston Brain Institute International Outstanding Achievement Award.

 This £25,000 award recognises an investigator who, in the past 15 years, has made exceptional contributions, through translational research and leadership, to accelerating the development of therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases of aging. The ideal candidate will continue to be active in research for the next 5-10 years, and have a record of impeccable citizenship in the research community. Nominations can be made by anyone.

 Past awardees include Dr. Peter St George-Hyslop (Canada, 2016), Prof. Nick Fox (UK, 2017), and Dr. Anthony Lang (Canada, 2018).

In 2019, the award will be honouring an exceptional Ireland, Netherlands, or UK-based researcher.  The nomination deadline is on 8 January, 2019 and the award presentation ceremony will be held during the 14th International Conference on Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases, 26-31 March, 2019, in Lisbon, Portugal.
